Environmental Law Examiner Pro ("the Platform") is operated by Shaila Catan ("Owner"). This Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, and protected when you use the Platform for AI-powered environmental compliance analysis.

1. Information We Collect

  • Account information: your name and email address, collected when you are invited to and register for the platform.
  • Consent records: when you accept the Non-Disclosure Agreement, we record your email, acceptance timestamp, IP address, and device/browser metadata (platform, language, screen resolution, timezone) for auditability and non-repudiation.
  • Document and analysis data: documents you upload, AI-generated summaries, compliance flags, and extracted analysis results you create while using the platform.
  • Usage data: aggregate, anonymized analytical patterns derived from document analyses that improve the quality of future analyses. These patterns do not store your personally identifiable information or raw document contents.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide, maintain, and improve the environmental compliance analysis features of the platform.
  • To enforce the Non-Disclosure Agreement and protect the intellectual property of the Owner.
  • To build an aggregated, anonymized pattern knowledge base that sharpens the accuracy of analyses for all users, without exposing your individual documents or identity.
  • To monitor for security, abuse, and platform integrity.

3. AI Processing and Third-Party Services

  • Document analysis is performed using AI language models. When you analyze a document, its contents and your prompt context are transmitted to the AI provider to generate a response.
  • You should not upload documents containing information you are not authorized to share with a third-party AI processing service.
  • We do not control the retention policies of third-party AI providers; review their policies for details on how inputs may be retained.

4. Data Retention

  • Your documents, reports, and conversation history remain associated with your account until you delete them.
  • Aggregated analysis patterns are retained to improve platform accuracy and do not contain raw document text or personally identifiable information.
  • Consent and security audit records are retained for the duration required for legal enforceability and security compliance.

5. Data Sharing

  • We do not sell your personal information or document data.
  • Information is shared only as necessary to operate the platform, protect its intellectual property, comply with legal obligations, or respond to security incidents.
  • Aggregated, anonymized pattern data may be used internally to improve analyses and is not linked to your identity.

6. Your Rights

  • You may delete documents, reports, and conversations you have created at any time.
  • You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data, subject to retention requirements for consent and security audit records.
  • To exercise these rights, contact the Owner.

7. Security

  • Access to the platform is authenticated and access to sensitive administrative data is restricted to authorized administrators.
  • Consent records are cryptographically signed to support tamper detection and non-repudiation.
  • No method of transmission or electronic storage is completely secure; we strive to use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards.

8. Changes to This Policy

  • We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the version date displayed on this page.
